Hebrews 4:3-19

(Hebrews 4:3-19)

For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.  For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.  And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest. Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief: Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts. For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day. There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.  For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.  For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.  Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.  For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.  Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

The book of Hebrews explains rest in connection with salvation. The Bible speaks of rest in Genesis 2, which originates from the rest of God's creation and rest. The land of Canaan is a shadow that symbolizes the kingdom of God. It is not a true rest. Therefore, the time for rest remains for God's people. It is true rest that enters the kingdom of God through Jesus Christ. Because God is truly rest. When connected to God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit, it means "state in rest." Such a person has already entered rest. God said he would give rest to those who believe in Jesus Christ, but the Holy Spirit guarantees. When the believer's house of the flesh falls, the spirit comes out, and it is the rest of the kingdom of God that wears the house of God.

For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it. The reason for failing to enter the Promised Land is that those who have heard the Word of God have failed to connect faith and Word. Prior to the arrival of Canaan, there was an incident in which one of the twelve tribes sent twelve spies. The people were shaken by the negative reports of the ten spies. They prioritized visible environment, culture, and values over God, and finally disobeyed and rebelled against God. As a result, they wandered the wilderness for 40 years, and the first generation died in the wilderness, except Joshua and Caleb.

The Bible tells the Saints to try to enter the rest. In Ephesians 2:6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:He who is in Jesus Christ dies with his old man with Jesus Christ, and a new man with Jesus Christ is born in new life. The new man is seated in heaven with Christ. Those who have died with Jesus are seated in the kingdom of God.

As in Colossians 3:3, For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. The dead are old. And he said, "The life of a new man is hidden in God." In Hebrews 4:10, he says, "For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his." Those who died of Jesus Christ and the old man, and who were born in Jesus Christ and the new life, have already entered the rest.

God tells the one who enters rest, "Do not do your own thing." The word "your own work" means "to love the world." Today, those who say "We must keep the Sabbath day" or "We must keep the Sunday that replaces the Sabbath holy" are like confessing, "I am not yet on the Sabbath." This is because they think that they need to keep holy to enter the rest. It is not so different from the case where Jesus Christ came and is still waiting for Christ. Those who are still waiting for Christ are not in Jesus Christ, so they are not in the rest of the kingdom of God. Only those who are in Jesus Christ can be said to have already entered the rest.

In Genesis 1-3, Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made. . This is not to say that God does not rest at work, but rather builds the world, blesses it on the seventh day, and tells us that this world will enter into rest by Jesus Christ in the future.

This is a promise to say, "I will give you rest." Those who are in Jesus Christ are those who are at rest. If one day is a Sabbath, it is not logical because it is the only word on the Sabbath of Jesus Christ. It is to say that God will give rest on the last day to the material world created by God. The rest came to believers through Jesus Christ. Just as God said in Genesis 2, "Let there be light," just as God sends the true light of Jesus Christ to the saints, we must realize that the promise to give us rest in the future through the rest in Genesis is contained in it.

What God said in the Law to keep the Sabbath was when he came out of Egypt and was on Mount Sinai. The reason why God kept Israel in Egypt was to cry out to God. What was said to cry out is that after Noah's Flood, God chose a people to show that man was a person who left God. It was. By bringing out the nation, the promise of rest, promised in Genesis 1-3, is now a new beginning with Israel through the Law.

You can see in the book of Deuteronomy that you are to keep the Sabbath day. "You remember," he said. God told the people to remember that they were slaves in Egypt. It was a pain in Egypt, but God delivered the people from Egypt, and he gave them rest. Coming out of Egypt is the beginning of rest, and entering the land of Canaan is the completion of rest. The first reason God commanded the Sabbath to be observed was to remember that it was a slave in Egypt, but not now.

If the people want to return to Egypt, they do not believe in God's rest. In fact, in the Old Testament, asking for sabbath rest is a practice course for true rest. The second reason for keeping the rest is the sign of the covenant with the descendants of the battalion. The covenant is God's promise. Eternal covenant means Jesus Christ and is a sign. The Sabbath was when the Israelites left Egypt. Their observance of the Sabbath is to believe and look at the sign of the eternal covenant, that Jesus Christ will receive true rest. God said to keep the Sabbath day, but not keeping it means not believing that you will be freed from suffering from Egypt and will enter the eternal and true Sabbath in the future.

So, God told the priest to kill anyone who didn't keep the Sabbath on the stone. It is to see the people killed by the stones and to think. If you commit the Sabbath day, you will die. The people's observance of the Sabbath is to observe the Sabbath and to see that the people will receive the eternal Sabbath through Christ. So, there are two reasons for the Sabbath. Believing in liberation from Egypt and entering eternal rest through Christ in the future.

The word "to be settled" means Logos. The Word of God splits the soul, spirit, and marrow. The soul is a thought that comes from the flesh. The soul is united with Jesus, who died on the cross. God will resurrect those who are united with Jesus in a new life. The soul dies, and the spirit survives. Jesus Christ is the great high priest. Hebrews 1:3 describes Jesus ascended. Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high: And in Hebrews 1:6, ``And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.

The book of Hebrews represents the Lord who will come back by sitting on the postal throne. In Hebrews 2:9, But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honor; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. The book of Hebrews does not refer to the Lamb who died on the cross, but to Jesus Christ as High Priest.

Hebrews 3:16-19 also describes the Hebrew people who came out of Egypt. For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses. But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness? And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not? So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief. The Hebrew people were the ones who stirred God in the wilderness for 40 years. In Chapter 4, 1-2, Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it. For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it. . So, it is to tell the people to fear God. And then, in Hebrews 3-4. For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Those who came out of Egypt painted the blood of the Lamb and moved from tribe to tribe. God called them my army. That's why the Bible says God is the Lord of hosts, and they have stirred the Lord. So, in the wilderness, the old man died and the new life entered Canaan. This is because God's Word has the power to split the soul, spirit, and bone marrow. It means to kill the soul and save the spirit to cross the Jordan River into Canaan. Ephesians 1:20 describes the Church and the Ascended Lord. In verse 22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church Jesus ascended to represent the church on all things. The Jordan River is justified, and the crossing of the Jordan River into the land of Canaan to fight the enemy is with the ascended Jesus Christ. There are two churches on this earth. Wilderness Church and Canaan Church. Canaan Church means the sacrificed life where the soul dies and the spirit lives. Canaan Church means a church where the old man dies at the Jordan River and Joshua and Jesus go into Canaan and each and every saved person wins together.

For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. The normal church says, "Each one is a union of those who have witnessed and experienced that I died with Jesus Christ." Therefore, it is the church that lives with Jesus Christ, the life that has not been received by parents or the life that has been received from God. In Ephesians 1:23, Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all. In Ephesians 2:5-6 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus
